A Bit About Me

My name is Leigh Strauss, owner of Book Nook Editing. Through a compassionate and professional process, I support authors on their publishing journey. Together we will create work that helps you better connect with your target audience. I have experience in working with fiction (Literary, Romance, YA, and Fantasy) and nonfiction works, blogs, articles, and marketing materials. I hold a professional certificate in Editing from the University of Chicago.

 

I am also a marketing professional with over 10 years of experience. I develop customized marketing programs - from setting initial goals and strategies for effective programs to managing messaging for marketing collateral.  

 

Through Book Nook Editing I have created a collaborative approach to working with writers, acting as an advocate for both the writer and their readers. I put the highest priority on treating everyone with kindness and respect.

I am a voracious reader in the Chicagoland area. When I'm not trying to keep my husband and kids organized, I can be found sipping tea and reading with at least one of our two dogs warming my feet.
