A Bit About Me

My name is Leigh Strauss. I initially started Book Nook Editing to support self-published authors in achieving their dream of creating completed works. I have since expanded my services to be able to help polish theses and blogs, articles, and both fiction and nonfiction manuscripts.

 

I am a former marketing professional and a voracious reader. In my past life I worked as a marketing project manager, from setting initial goals and strategies for a customized program to managing messaging and the creation of a variety of marketing collateral. While doing this work, I realized I loved editing the articles of a monthly magazine and smoothing out the text of sales pieces. I decided to focus my work on editing and now hold a professional certificate in Editing from the University of Chicago.

 

Through Book Nook Editing I have created a collaborative approach to working with clients, acting as an advocate for both the writer and their readers. I put the highest priority on treating everyone with kindness and respect.
